Lattanzi Restaurant Review

Housed in an historic brownstone with exposed brick and wood beam ceilings, this restaurant has been serving slow-cooked Italian cuisine to New York’s theater-goers for twenty-plus years. A traditional menu includes beef carpaccio with aged Parmesan, homemade mozzarella bursting onto beefsteak tomatoes, and artichoke gnocchi in tomato sauce with pecorino cheese --- all seem to have arrived...

Something "special" on Restaurant Row, this "better-than-average" Italian separates itself from the pack with an unusual post-theater menu of Roman-Jewish specialties; otherwise, it's a strictly "old-guard" experience with "gracious" service and a "charming" setting featuring lots of "dining nooks and crannies."
