Help us make it rightWhen silent movies arrived in Syracuse, Salina Street had the Empire, the Strand, Keith's, Temple (later Paramount) and Eckel theatres to draw patrons downtown for movie-stage shows. The latest and grandest was Loew's State Theatre. Marcus Loew attempted to buy the Empire Theatre but negotiations failed. Real Estate developers found him the building side at the northwest corner of Salina...
Landmark Theatre
The ornate 1928 Landmark Theatre hosts touring stage shows, dance performances, concerts, stand-up comics, and classic films. Ani DiFranco, Jerry Seinfeld, and the Moscow Ballet are among the past performers and shows at this 3,000-seat venue.
This theatre is such a beautiful place. Its reminiscent of the old elegant theatres you would see in the movies. The sound quality is excellent and there isn't a bad seat in the house.

It is a participating member of the Arts and Culture Leadership Alliance (ACLA), and is committed to unify the local arts and culture institutions and to advocate for the culturally cohesive city of New York. Apart from offering a wide variety of concerts and other...
The historic Landmark Theatre... a national treasure in the heart of downtown Syracuse.
A must visit, this famous 2,922 seat center with ornate gold carving, hosts touring Broadway shows, classic films and concerts.
Central New York's last remaining Depression-era cinema is still open for business. Famous architect Thomas Lamb designed the Landmark Theatre, and it opened in 1928. The theater became popular for its double bill of a movie and a live show. In 1977 a group of local investors rescued the foundering theater and got it listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Today, it still hosts...
