I am in my third month in my newly "renovated" apartment and yet to have 1 hot shower. I file a service request daily for repair and the staff at lake pointe apologizes and says they're working on a solution but has yet to offer anything as compensation while I continue to pay rent every month that is to include hot water. The renovations are purely cosmetic in nature and the infrastructure...

Between the constant flooding outside every time it rains and the lack of water both hot and cold inside is reason enough not to rent at Lake Pointe.
Pot holes always opening up and shared expenses that will not be a pleasant surprise when you get your first rent bill which they even charge you to prepare.
All the remodeling and new landscaping does not resolve the many issues there.

Lake Pointe is the worst place to live in Melbourne. Buildings are old and there is no maintenance. Every time it rains, flooding everywhere. You can't walk down the sidewalk in anything other than ankle deep water. There are MANY unavoidable potholes in the parking lot that have blown out tires and damaged people's rims. Can you imagine no water for 5 days? It happened last week!!! Stay away...

These apartments are beautiful. Maintenance guy is friendly and when an order is put in to fix something he's there the next day. My only concern is that paying the rent is a big surprise. While other apartment complex offer free water, sewer and gas, here you have to pay for it and it can get expensive, and is put together with the rent you can't pay it separate.

You can put lipstick on a pig but it is still a pig and Lake Pointe Apts has too many serious problems beneath the surface to cover up with new carpets and cabinets. Even with apartment upgrades, this place is way overpriced and they will keep raising your rent as though they deserve more of your money. You can resurface the parking lot all you want to make it appear nice but that doesn't fix...
