Nice park. I went early Saturday morning. I wish they had signs up on what time the carousel and Ice cream shop open.

Kind of loud and busy on weekends but cheap canoe rentals and free parking.

Lake Accotink Park has something for everyone and is family oriented. peddle boats, canoes, row boats and a motorized tour boat. Minature golf, merry-go-round, snack bar, two large shelters, picnic areas and a children's play ground, good parking, Oh, and fishing in the lake. We did a large group activity with a grandson to invite his friend to Senior Prom....

To start off with, the lake and the land are nice for a facility as close in to the city.
For mountain bikers, starting at nearby Wakefield / Audrey Moore Park, then biking to Kae Accotink works well. The trail around the lake is nice for a hike, medium difficulty biking, or dog walking (w/ leash).
