I agree with other reviewers that they used to serve decent Mexican food here. I think the poor quality of food is even reflected in the servers attitude. Like they don't want to be there either. Ordered quesadillas and they came out a big soggy lump. Ate them cause I was hungry. but won;t order there again. Any Mexican restaurant...

Lago De Chapala used to be very good. We had not eaten there in about a year and happened to go in last night for a meal. The service was good, but the food....ugh! My husband is picky about his Mexican food and he has never been disappointed at Lago de Chapala.
I love that it is a local family run business.

No better or bigger margarita

It is a given, the food and service is great. But the big surprise is the variety, size and taste of the margaritas. If you don't try one, you are really missing out. I cannot even begin to tell you how large the biggest margarita is, but you need to explore for yourself. I guarantee you will not be disappointed!
