This was the 3rd stay for me at this hotel. When we checked in the bathroom lights did not work. I called and reported it and the issue was resolved by the time we returned to the room at 2am. The sleeves from the lights were left in the room and were still there when we checked out 2 days...
Sands Hotel is really cheaper, it's good for people like us who can afford to stay. Also I like when they send me free nights. I enjoy staying over there with my family. The housekeepers are very friendly and Keep the rooms clean and tidy. I love to stay in sand whenever I go to Reno.
Place is old and worn, but clean. Neighbors were obnoxiously noisy and management wouldn't/couldn't shut them up. No sleep that night. There are obnoxious people all over the world but management should at least try to control them.
3 days into a week long stay we found our door open with an unprofessional looking, so called maintenance man working on the window. I hadn't put in a work order so was very surprised (and mad!) He return later with what my friend said was a police officer to bolt the window closed. She was very ill and trying...
Done with this place. Quoted cost on phone different at check in. Management wouldn't budge. Way too expensive. NOT worth more than $35 any night. Smokey, dirty, bad. Do yourself a favor and spend your money somewhere nice.
