My 11 year old daughter and I stopped at La Pastaria on our way to Livingston from Washington, DC. We came in at about 8:45 pm on a Friday night, and there were only about 3 other tables occupied. Other reviewers commented about noise, but it was not a factor for us.

Great Place for a Family Dinner

After a long day of house hunting, we somehow overheard a conversation about La Pastaria. Glad we did. Smallish dining area, we had no issue getting seated, but on a Weekend night I would make a reservation. Typical (not a bad thing) Italian menu, everything appeared to be scratch made. Our Realtor let us know that La Pastaria is BYOB....

If you want an inexpensive tasty lunch but won't be engaging in conversation - this is a good place for you. With a varied Italian lunch menu, ranging from salads, sandwiches and pastas to different personal-size pizzas, you can't go wrong. The food is very tasty and obviously very fresh.

Very good food but very noisy

We were celebrating my mother-in-law's 90th Birthday with a group of 12. We had a table in the main dining room, and could barely hear each other. The food was very good, and plentiful. Half of us took home doggie bags. The shrimp dishes were delicious. 3 salads were ample for the group. We were disappointed by the Lava Cake...
