My wife and I visited on Saturday, 3/21/15. Main dishes we ordered were the "Involtino di Vitello" ( a veal dish), and a lamb special of the day. The prices seemed reasonable and the servings were copious enough. Wine prices were also within reason and the wait staff was helpful and friendly. However, each of our dishes was overcooked !...

Much More Than An Osteria

By definition, an osteria is a place where simple and inexpensive food is served. Not so with La Parolaccia. The menu is extensive in that it serves appetizers, pastas and meat and seafood. The food is reasonably priced, and the wine list highlights Italian as well as wines from other locales.
We met some friends there for dinner on Saturday...

Good location and decent Italian food. The ravioli are better than most I've had. Portions are good sized. The pasta tastes fresh. The bread is perfectly baked and served. Don't call this Italian

The Gricia did not even resemble the original one.. it had spinach in it!!! Abomination!!
The wine Ripasso was a poor valpolicella (maybe) very acidic and unbalanced that did, once more, have nothing to do with a real Ripasso.
Overall the tastes were poor and a total fake of real Italian cuisine. Service was ok.
To avoid.
