A retreat and conference center located where, in 1780, a small way station for missionaries traveling up and down the California coast was located. Following a series of secular owners the property was acquired by the Sisters of the Immaculate Heart of Los Angeles who expanded the location to what it is today - a center that offers retreats in an interfaith environment.

We stayed in the main house in a beautiful, historic room. We received three delicious, healthy meals a day. This is not really a hotel; it is a destination retreat meant for contemplation or reconnecting with an old friend. Read their web site before considering a stay there.

Beautiful, peaceful, and expensive. Best for small meditative retreats

Beautiful natural venue, expensive to stay at for the room conditions, (clean but plain, dorms are...dorms, what to say?) it is Santa Barbara after all. During seminar, can hear neighboring classes/ seminars through the walls pretty easily...good for smaller exclusive meditative retreats.
