This is a wonderful edition to midtown! The food is fresh, delicious and the counter service is super prompt! It's also a GREAT VALUE for your money! The portions are hearty and everything is made super-fresh. JUST DELICIOUS! Let's hope it stays that way

This place has gone through some serious changes from the past year. The food got better and the service is still good. I believe new management has come in and an asian lady at the cash register is the new boss. She is very nice and understands if you short a couple of cents and just lets it slide. If I ever want a salad, this is THE ONLY place I go and if I can't get out, I order it and it's in the office in 30min or less. The guys serving you are in good spirits and the cashiers move quickly so you're in and out of there. I go all the time - also a great deal for a salad, always $7. Some places you go to give you much less and charge you btw. 8-10 dollars. They're also good for catering meetings!

Pick a deli, add the words ""LA Cafe"" on a big banner and charge semi-expensive prices and voila: you have essentially what is presented here. The variety is limited, but the crowds are strong during lunch time. You wouldn't missing out on much by skipping this place.
