Slow cooked meals from real Dominican recipes and ingredients. The fresh flavors will be very familiar after the first yummy bite. The place is small and not fancy, but wonderfully blends savory and sweet with spices. The empanadas they serve are made from yuca plant, which imparts a mild slightly earthy flavor. Most places use flour dough, I actually found...

My girlfriend had a Tomate Verde sandwich and the sweet potato empanada. Everything we tried was excellent and the food came out quickly. We talked a little...

Having read a favorable review in the Seattle Times, we decided to try out La Bodega. It is a small restaurant, with excellent food. The "sandwich" of the day was tasty pulled pork with sauces, etc. The tres leeches cake is certainly not to be missed.

After cooking in many kitchens in Seattle, Manuel (Manu) Alfau aims to bring the flavors of his homeland, the Dominican Republic, to Seattle’s...
