Just when I thought I was freed from Los Angeles Superior Court!! I did my community service and paid the fine over 2 months ago. I delivered the proof in person (at the Hill Street courthouse) that I completed the requirements and was given a receipt by the Court (dept 63) - and the paperwork still hasn't hit their system!!!! Now I have to talk to their collection agency and explain the whole...

What luigiS said below holds true in my case. I don't think they actually read the summons or the answer. I lost my case on a judgement that wasn't even the issue. I tried in vain to find a way to ""fix"" the mistake made by Commissioner Dodson but everyone I asked to help were totally clueless on what to do. I'd like to know how a man, educated in law, could make such a monumental error? And would they even admit to the possibility that they could have made a mistake? The court transcripts, if available, would definitely clear my case! I am still in shock over the judgement! Hey...
