Grady T. Allred Sr., the founder of K & W Cafeterias, entered the restaurant business as an employee of a small restaurant in Greensboro, N.C., known as the Carolinian Coffee Shop. My husband and I eat lunch here sometimes on Sunday after church. I always get the chicken pie. I've tried a few other main entrees, but this is by far the best.
