My Wife and I started boarding our dogs with Tom and Bonnie at Kountry Kennels about a year ago on the recommendation of a friend. They are wonderful people and we felt very comfortable leaving our pets with them. However today when I showed up to drop our dogs off I was shocked to find out Tom & Bonnie no longer own the Kennel. Our reservations were made three months ago and in that time I was not contacted at all to let me know of the change. I'm sure the new owners are wonderful people and would have taken great care of them but how can they think this is even remotely acceptable behavior. Maybe I'm wrong but I feel total deceived. To make things worse I don't think they had any intention of telling me of the change noting was said until I asked were Tom & Bonnie had taken the day off. Luckily I was able to make other arrangements with the breeder we got one of our dogs from to take care of them for the week ( 4 hour round trip away) and we can go away knowing our pets will be well cared for. I wish the new owners of Kountry Kennels the best of luck but they will never see our pets at there facility.
Excellent Kennel. Really nice people and clean facility with play pens. I drive over an hour just to bring my boxer there.
I left my dog Jake with Tom and Bonnie for 7 years for vacation and various hospital stays and never worried that he wouldn't be treated like one of the family. They were very caring and special people who loved animals. I'm happy to report that Terry and her husband are very loving caretakers of the four legged family members that we leave with them.
