Spare and contemporary decor at (K)new puts the focus where it should be: on the food. Chef Omar Rodriguez's menu revolves around free-range and organic meats like buffalo, venison and duck, and he has a range of tasty smaller plates like the potato nest with smoked salmon, horseradish creme fraiche and black caviar. Warning: the service is incredibly slow. Like so slow, we wondered if we should just walk out before we were even acknowledged by someone. But, we'd...

Great restaurant in Logan Square! And we could actually have a conversation without shouting at each other. We had two amazing appetizers and especially LOVED the smoked salmon on a potato nest with creme freiche. Pork tenderloin with bacon and dates was scrumptuois. We'll definitely go back. Plus plenty of street parking and a very gracious, well-informed wait staff. Such a beautiful...

It started with finding a rock in one of the pasta entrees about a third of the way in. Luckily, my fiancee didn't break a tooth when she bit it. When we alerted the waitress, there was no offer to make something else, or to remedy the...

The sister restaurant of the successful Think Cafe; menu features small plates, along with festive regional offerings. -

The menu at this seafood-centric restaurant is slightly upscale, with ingredients like saffron butter emulsion, white truffle oil, and red wine fig reduction coloring some of the best dishes. The owners take pride in the fact that most of their ingredients are organic or free range. Try the rack of lamb with purple potatoes, wilted arugula, and caramelized orange peel mint beurre blanc, for...

This free-range and organic meats-heavy restaurant has quickly become a local favorite, thanks to great value, an inviting atmosphere, and heaping portions of superb pasta dishes.
