Convenient Ramen

Kinchans is an authentic ramen house in a relaxed atmosphere. You can get tasty ramen with vegetables, meat, seafood, liver, etc. and either sit down for a relaxing meal or just go to the counter. The prices are great, meals are traditional and parking is guaranteed (by valet) so it's impossible to go wrong at Kinchans.

Mom-and-pop shop serves made-to-order ramen, stir-fry and fried rice to hungry Westside locals amid California kitsch and Bob Marley posters.

In Short
Funky knick-knacks, rock and roll posters and cards from friends on the fridge add intimacy to the simple white interior of this Japanese noodle shop. Known for their ramen...

The ramen here is okay. I don't know if I would go back since I know of other, better ramen shops around LA. The ramen is pretty cheap but it's not super flavorful or anything. Friendly service, though.

Kinchans IS totally underrated, it's never really crowded but their ramen is way better than Asahi Ramen down the street. They serve beer and wine here where Asahi Ramen doesn't. What am I suppose to drink with my ramen? coke? wtf? I had their Shoyu ramen this time ($5.95) along with a side of gyoza and Asahi beer.

Look Good

Can't decide what to order? The No. 4 Chashu Ramen, consists of noodles, pork, vegetables and corn in a soy-sauce broth and is the most popular dish on the menu. The No. 12 Negi Ramen is the spiciest.
