The food here is quite palatable, but I can speak only for the pho. In comparison to Miss Saigon on the other side of the parking lot, Kien Giang establishes a more low key, cafeteria-esque vibe...

Considered by most of our chef friends as the best cheap eats in Nashville. Hard to find- you go UP the driveway towards the K&M Market, then turn left. Cash only. Order the Bun #3 and French Ice Coffee w/ Milk.

Kien Giang is the granny of all VietNamese restaurants in the Nashville area, and remains popular for its wide menu, fresh ingredients, happy servers, low cost. Off the beaten path, near the great K&S International Market on Charlotte Pike, this place is a gem ! The Pho is delicate with incredible depth. We also shared the lemon grass chicken, one of their specials. It was fantastic! A combination of flavors I've never had. Great meal for about $12.
