They had the sound on high after many complaints last season that the dialogue was inaudible. We took advantage of the free shuttle bus that runs to the subway station, that worked very well for us. The KC cafe is the only of the two restaurants at KC that Ive eaten at and it's convenient but overpriced (you can get 10% off meal if you have mytix or subscription).

Parking

Garage parking is available for $18 during performances or for free up to 60 minutes when visiting the box office or gift shop.

The center's Millennium Stage features free performances every night of the year at 6pm--acts range from Grammy-nominated vocalists to rock bands and members of the National Symphony Orchestra.

Know Before You Go

There is a free shuttle that runs between the Foggy Bottom metro stop and The Kennedy Center; look for signs just to the left outside the metro escalators. It departs every 15 minutes between 9:45am and 12am Monday through Friday, between 10am and 12am on Saturdays and between 12pm and 12am on Sundays.
