I felt that KC's offered a great menu and good service. The food was great and the service was fantastic. I would definitely recommend the restaurant to anyone looking for a great meal and menu for even the pickiest of eaters. Bring the whole family and they will all be satisfied and full Zack K
GREAT food. I've been looking for a good BBQ place ever since I moved to California from KC (which is home to the BEST bbq ever) but nothing ever measures up. This place was the closest I could get to home. I had the brisket, which was good, but everyone else at my table got the pulled pork, which was better. Megan F Huntington beach, CA
I usually only make it to San Diego once a year during comic-con.
This has always been a place that my friends and I have have to visit. Last year, I was really disappointed because it had burned down but this year I am soooo jazzed!
I love the lunch and dinner combos. I'm a carnivore and as far as I'm concerned the more meat, the better.
I really don't care that Top Gun was filmed there. I go there for the food. It's not classy, it's a bit fatty but it's delicious!

This rating is NOT for food, as I didn't eat there but purely for the drinks!
Okay, so shoot me, I've never seen Top Gun (although after I went to KC BBQ, I was finally inspired to rent it). I'm the type of person who thinks going to filming locations is "cool," so I'm all about it.
We went here for a friend's birthday and headed to a PJ party later. So the attire is (obviously) casual. It was your typical dive bar (but also awesome). Lot's of locals, and the bartenders were really cool to talk to. I like a place with so much history so I enjoyed their stories.
Beer was SOOO cheap! And get ready for the "night-train." I don't want to give it away but when a train goes by, prepare to drink!
I really enjoyed this place. I didn't eat the food so I can't comment on that but I had a blast here. I recommend for the cheap drinks and good times.

An upgraded kitchen and smoker mean tasty brisket, pulled pork, St. Louis ribs and burnt end favorites are available. The usual suspects come as sides like corn on the cob, rings, fries, beans, potato salad and slaw. Another claim to fame: the sleazy bar scene in “Top Gun” was filmed here and this cinema trivia also draws a crowd to downtown's favorite barbecue scene. We like going in a big...
Scenes for ""Top Gun"" were filmed here, but the savory ribs and memorabilia-filled dining room elevate it to legendary status.
Great place to visit if you’re Top Gun fans and if you like local vibe bar. Will meet bar tenders with personalities too.
A giant Uncle Sam is out front to get the party started.
Our first time here. We had the wings and pulled pork / brisket combo. Delish!!
We got the VIP treatment. Looking forward to going...
Absolutely horrible. Before you discount this review as just a bitter customer, please be assured I'm not. I try very hard to be honest in my reviews. That said, if it wasn't for "Top Gun,"...
It's worth going to just to check out the film notoriety. Went with a big group and there was more than one large group there so going to leave the service portion out of this one...so just the...
Well damn I can't remember what we ordered but Goodness Gracious Great Balls of Fire we found it, we finally found a spot that has great bbq!! Oh and the guy at the bar... super nice and...
