Jorge's has closed this location, and a new Mexican restaurant is in the works. I passed the place last week and saw the construction, but passed by again today just to make sure I had the right place. I did.
I only ate at the location once, and it was OK. But there are too many other places that serve...

Today, December 14, 2012, I ate my last meal at this location of Joege's. There last day here will be next Friday. There is no better restaurant in Travis or Williamson county for Mexican food. Jorge's is a classic in the North Austin area, but is closing this month to re-locate on Burnet Rd. They should re-open in February with the same staff, but in a larger more modern space. We will be there for the opening to sample some of the fine frozen margaritas.

Jorges has been around Austin for as long as i can remember (think early 1980!!)The cheese enchaladas with chili sause is the absolute best in all of Texas!
