This was my second visit to this gem of a restaurant. I remembered it was quite good and I was not disappointed! After choosing the pomegranate Cosmo from their very inventive cocktail list we made out dining decision. Would not normally have tried middle eastern bistro. But after looking at menu, describing it as western/Mediterranean fusion, gave it a go.
Wow, fantastic food and amazing value. We tried the small plates. Cauliflower sauté - simple flavorful excellent, mixed olives were standard fare, Caesar salad excellent. Scampi great flavor, and the most surprising was the roasted nut with oil...

Great Happy Hour

Love sitting at the bar during Happy Hour. The last time I was there, they were serving a very nice, complex white wine for $5 a glass. The lebneh and dukkah nuts appetizer is amazing, and my hands-down favorite. Other faves are the lamb pitadilla, baked feta and their version of dolmas. Great atmosphere and excellent service, too.

Walk in on a warm early evening in June, would have liked to sit outside to soak up the setting sun, but tables taken so took a place at bar as dining alone. Prompt service, and good conversation from barkeep. Went with the kebab combo with a pint of the Boneyard IPA. Neither disappointed. Will be back if in town...

I was in town for a conference and we stumbled across Joolz while walking through the beautiful downtown area. The hostess was welcoming and hip in her pink laced boots. We sat at the bar just intending to get appetizers and drinks. We weren't too hungry.
