Help us make it rightThis year-round neighborhood joint serves delicious pancakes and creative omelets all day, along with hearty homemade soups and chowders, thick burgers, shakes, and spicy chicken-salad wraps. The fried ice cream is famous. Come at off-hours especially on weekends, because there's usually a line. Early risers can get breakfast from 6 am, and it's open every day except Christmas.
I wish they had half stars... Good pancakes. Very good scrambled eggs. Not much to say about the food we had. They need to work on service, it's laid back...
good breakfast place usually busy
Swarming with pancake lovers, John's Pancake is often spotted with lines out the door. A very promising breakfast/ brunch spot in the heart of Montauk.
John's used to be a great spot years ago, but new owners have really let it go. Anthony's across the street is now nearly as good but without the rudeness of the staff.
This historic breakfast spot isn't worthy of its fame. Bready, flavorless pancakes are served with generic artificial syrup which is so welded to the table tops, it can't even be wiped off.
John's Pancake House can be found at Montauk Hwy 721. The following is offered: Restaurants. The entry is present with us since Sep 8, 2010 and was last updated on Nov 14, 2013. In Montauk there are 9 other Restaurants. An overview can be found here.
