Had food from here people make a big deal about the roast beef and ribs I think it sucked, you can get better at Chili's

The ribs are amazing. Every table had at least 3 or 4 orders in the time we were there. The service was excellent. Any waitress was willing to help you, you didn't have to wait for yours. I would go back there in a heartbeat.

Johnny's used to just offer their melt-in-your-mouth ribs on Thursdays, now it's an everyday event! If you want the ribs, make sure to call and make a reservation for them....and a table.

Johnny's is by far not a fancy restaurant at all. Just a little old corner "joint" and most definitely one of Stratford's best kept secrets. The tin ceiling and ambiance reminds me of a little...

Excitement led to disappointment

Someone recommended us to go to Johnny's for their ribs. We finally did go, but it was a Saturday afternoon and they don't serve ribs until dinner time. So we ordered the shrimp basket and scallop basket with sweet potato fries at about $11 each for very small portions. It was average. I was expecting the sweet potato fries to be sprinkled with cinnamon sugar like most restaurants. We...

Johnny's was founded in 1896 as a local tavern and has been family owned and operates since. The current owner is Angelo Stavola, who introduced his ribs in 1992. Everything in the restaurant is original, with a few upgrades like electric lights, gas stove and refrigeration. You can still get the feel of entering a turn of the century saloon.
