Usually service is good and the food is decent...my favorite is the #12.
However, we went there the other day and they were unprepared for a movie rush. The AMC Theater is right in front of them in the mall.
The waitress said that every once in a while, they get bombarded with people and are unable to keep up.
They ran out of CO2 so all their drinks were flat, they ran out of a lot of food (we kept asing "what about..." and kept getting "sorry, no more of those.") . The food took 45 minutes to get to us!!! Service was very slow and the waitress was apologetic about the entire experience. Apparently, it was the first Saturday evening since the release of the Transformers movie.
A note to the manager: go online and check out the movie schedule and prepare accordingly by hiring additional staff and ordering extra food.
This location is a poor substitute for the media center mall location. No tables and poor service. The location is very small and the only tables avaliable are outside in the sun and heat.
Fun place with that '50s flair and good old fashion burgers and shakes. The place can get a bit busy at times and be understaffed so service can be slow. But the food is very good and served with a smile. Great location too. Right across from the AMC theaters.
My review is for the Johnny Rockets on Wilshire Blvd that is connected to the Peterson Automotive Museum. Since Johnny Rockets' theme is '50's and cars, being connected to the Peteson museum just enhances the whole dining experience. If you don't want to visit the museum you can enter Rockets directly from the street, but then you will be missing...
I always like the burgers at Johnny Rockets inspite of the numerous restaurants and burger places. Good price and quality that's why I describe this as unpretentious, plus throwback to the 50s and 60s.
It was nice to see they have salads now and offer salad instead of fries. Service was friendly with outdoor tables and chairs...Only stools at the counter inside. Right acroos from the AMC Burbank
