THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED John Henry's Restaurant Review

Piano music in the lounge, professional service and a casually elegant atmosphere make John Henry's a popular choice for business or romance. Former New Yorkers like the place for its marinara sauce, the kind made by every grandma in Brooklyn. The Continental menu runs to steak and seafood, but specialties include oysters Rockefeller and baby lamb, sautéed in rosemary and extra virgin olive...

Our experience at John Henry's is one we will not soon forget. The 10 minute wait for our initial service should of been a prelude for the time it would take to have our meal. Mediocre at best

Average Rating

We ate at John Henry's and must say that we were disappointed.

The lobster bisque tasted more like cream than lobster, and the clams casino were leathery. My steak was average.

The waiter and host were very cordial; we just had higher expectations based upon the reviews and would not go back in the future.

John Henry's Continental/Italian Cuisine is a fine dining restaurant/piano bar. Enjoy live entertainment Tuesday - Saturday evenings. Fine wines are available by the glass or bottle and a full bar is also available.

About John Henry's: Named for a famous racehorse, this establishment has it all — excellent food, appealing atmosphere, live music, and an impressive list of fine wines. Begin the evening with oysters Rockefeller, and then move on to chicken piccata, rack of lamb, or duck John Henry. A welcome perk that makes pleasantly romantic meals even better is live music performed by talented local...
