Pompeii, on Center City's Avenue of the Arts, is the newest restaurant from Chef Joseph Tucker, known for his Italian cuisine served with warm Philadelphia hospitality. Joseph calls his cuisine 'Contemporary Italian' and uses an array of the seafood, poultry and meats found fresh in the Italian Market each day. His creative preparations are imaginative new twists on classic favorites.

With its prime location just across the street from the Forrest Theatre, it's no wonder this southern Italian restaurant has embraced the venue's crowds. Show goers mix with couples on first dates in the simple yet chic dining room lined with white tablecloth-topped tables and painted the hue of lava, which businessmen grab a drink at the massive square bar. Comforting dishes such as gnocchi and branzino make up the ever-changing menu.
