used this company to move our 2BR condo from virginia to florida. quote was competitive, based on total mass of your stuff before and after the truck is loaded. charge extra for things like shuttle trucks (if the big 18 wheeler cannot get close to your place), packing for you, packing supplies. all of my stuff arrived intact, but we didn't have our stuff for a full week. good communication with...

You get what you pay for with JK. They were less expensive by far but broke furniture without telling us and we only discovered it when we were unpacking and reassembling. I think it really depends on the team doing your loading as to whether they are careful or not. The central administration is not well organized. By far the best move my family has ever had. After moving 12 times in 25 years we thought we knew what to expect from movers. However, it was entirely a different story with JK. The crew worked diligently and exceeded our expectations. From start to finish JK is a great organization. I would highly recommend them to anyone moving near or far.

I've used this company three time - once in '99, once in 2002, and they were fantastic (they had moved my parents into their house as well). About a yr and a half ago, I used them again. Found out that they had been bought by another company and the service seems to have declined. They scratched up a few items and the foreman hit on me. But they did move a 6x6 foot painting without a scratch....
