I was not given antibiotics at time of surgery, although bone was cut and screws were inserted in the bone. Spector didn't have antibiotics available at surgery center. Three days later...horrible pain and infection. Infectious disease doctor admitted me to hospital for three days. Had IV antibiotics for three weeks!! Worst pain I've EVER experienced! I scheduled here due to an infected ingrown toe. The appointment was quickly scheduled and I had the issue resolved on my first visit.
