We had just walked all around the trails by the lake marina and by the power plant. We dipped our feet in a very cold lake Michigan and then walked to this place to get a coffee. We had passed it many times looking for food and since I only saw the coffee in the title I didn't go in....

Thin place is everything that a coffee shop should be. My honey and I picked up some chocolates at the Chocolate Chisel across the street and decided nothing goes better with chocolate than coffee, and so we came in to sit down and enjoy our tasties. I have been going to the Java Dock since 2007. Recently the ownership changed hands and Chad owns it now. I had the best Blue Berry and Lemon Poppy Seed Muffins here. The different specialty Lattes are great because I don't just drink black coffee. Also the Sport Tea with a fruit flavor shot is a great way to start...

Whenever I'm back in town after a semester at college, I make it a point to visit my friends from home and to go to Java Dock.
