What the community has to say about James' Beach

Information about this business (5)

James’ Beach is a California neighborhood Beach restaurant serving modern american comfort food and featuring an award winning wine list and full BAR.

James' Beach is a comfy little joint that offers all-American cuisine with a special twist. It is one of the local hot spots, and it can get quite crowded at night, but the atmosphere is intimate all the same. Besides the food, there is an impressive wine list, and you can choose to seat yourself on the patio and take in the salty sea air while you dine. Check the website for dining hours.

James’ Beach is a California-neighborhood-beach restaurant for one of America’s most eclectic and artistic neighborhoods. James' Beach is one of Los Angeles' best known restaurants most recently seen in "Curb Your Enthusiasm" and "I Love You Man" where the fish tacos were declared "best in the world."

They're really not just bragging. A nice atmosphere, with pretty good food.

"Awesome" fish tacos are the highlight at this "beachy", "casual" canteen in Venice Beach, where the "clever" American menu and "well-mixed cocktails" offer "good value for the money"; it's often quite the "scene", with a "cool" crowd "packed like sardines", but outdoor seating eases the crush, as does a "super-friendly" staff.

James' Beach Restaurant Review

This noisy neighborhood favorite (formerly the oh-so-hip West Beach Café) is fun and festive, with a nice patio out front. The cuisine, meanwhile, should be taken seriously, as executive chef Jorge Valines, who replaced former chef Shari Lynne Robins, turns out such dishes as New York steak with a Cabernet reduction sauce and a braised lamb cassoulet. Great all around. From cocktails to food to service. our go to for consistent quality and service. Bus boys are the best

James Beach is one of the best places ive ever been to. We celebrated our anniversary there and were given a complimentary dessert by the waitstaff. Our service was wonderful and we can’t wait to visit again. Fish tacos are hands down the best ever!

OMG. The scones and strawberry jam. Worth coming there for the scones. Weekends also have their spectacular French toast. Made with fresh baguette. Crispy on the outside and creamy on the inside.
