When Panini in Stamford closed I looked for a deli to get breakfast from every morning.3 scrambled eggs with 2 sausage.Stopped into Jake's based on Yelp's recommendations and found it to be a nice place, cozy, friendly people, but incredibly expensive.I found this odd since the clientele appears to be local …

Good place for a bite

Stopped in for a quick sandwich, was not disappointed. Chicken cutlet was fresh, as were veggies on sandwich. A sandwich, chips, soda and tip ran $13.00 (incl $4 tip). Busy place at lunchtime, not much seating.

Tiny but good

This tiny little diner can seat maybe 20 people max. It's only open for breakfast and lunch and draws a decidedly "blue collar" crowd of local tradesman, cops and firefighters. The specials are good if a tad overpriced, but the brisk crowd keeps coming back.
