I'm the bus driver for a group of seniors at our church and recently took them down to Alex City and stopped for lunch. The food was excellent, I had crab claws appetizer and the hub cap burger with onion rings and the food and service was excellent. The atmosphere was nice and quite. Would recommend to friends.

Awesome atmosphere. .high ceilings and wood floors. The chef is amazing. .from catfish to steak to chicken fingers and onion rings!!! All were delicious. This was our first visit and will definitely return.. a lot of food for the price!

Have been to Jake's 4 times. The portions are not large, and the food is fairly plain. Sandwiches, salads, a daily special. The prices are average. My friend's and my bill was $24, which included tip for 2 quesadillas and 2 teas. Friends had a reuben, which was rather skimpy and small. The chicken salad was very plain, basically chicken...

I've eaten at Jakes off and on for the last couple years since I frequent Alex City for work. Jakes is always a spot we go to. The food is ok. Not bad. The service is always a little slower but not bad. Overall I would recommend people to give them a try!

Ate on a Sunday right after church time. Service was quick, but portions were small. We were expecting this to be our big meal of the day as we had eaten a lite breakfast. The fried chicken was tasty, but it was a very, very small breast, as was my husband's. The cole slaw was excellent, if you like it...
