Help us make it rightThe oldest German restaurant in Boston, Jacob Wirth Co. Restaurant dates back to 1886. The establishment has an antique, 19th-century feel but the food covers a wide range of choices. From imported ham sandwiches, to entrees featuring tenderloin, lamb and lobster, you will find something to meet your needs. Red cabbage and sauerkraut is made on the premises and the restaurant is also well known...

The extensive beer menu consists of over 30 imported and domestic draught beers has something for even the most fastidious beer connoisseur. The...
A "great change of pace", this "delightfully old-world" beer hall, opened in 1868, remains a Theater District "institution" thanks to an "extensive" suds selection matched with "filling" German-American grub; though service "could be more attentive", the vibe's always "jovial", especially during the "fun" sing-alongs with the piano man.
This lodge draws many repeat visitors—particularly driving and motorcycle enthusiasts—to its lush meadows, a favorite for bird-watchers. Motel-style rooms are simple and clean, with three of the most popular rooms having wood-burning fireplace-stoves, indoor hot tubs, or both. In the evening stroll the grounds and gaze at the Milky Way in the brilliant night sky. With satellite TV and live...
This cavernous German bierhaus has been a staple in Boston since 1868. Try the German tasting menu with its potato pancakes, wiener schnitzel and bratwurst, or order off the main menu, which features favorites like knockwurst, schnitzel and sauerkraut. You’ll also find traditional pub fare given a modern twist, such as beer-battered mozzarella stix; a bucket of soft baked pretzels; and sliders...
Located 4 miles north of Alpine on U.S. 191, Tal-Wi-Wi Lodge is nothing fancy -- just a rustic lodge popular with anglers and hunters -- but it's the best choice in the area. The deluxe rooms come with a hot tub or woodstove (one unit has both), heat sources that are well appreciated on cold winter nights (Alpine is often the coldest town in Arizona). The furnishings are rustic yet comfortable,...
In the heart of the Theater District, "Jake's" has been serving Bostonians since 1868 -- even before there were theaters here. The wood floor and brass accents give the spacious room the feeling of a saloon, and the menu incorporates traditional pub grub and more contemporary fare. Hearty German specialties include Wiener schnitzel, mixed grills, bratwurst, knockwurst, and potato pancakes;...
Really just a great restaurant
I had tickets to see Waitress and I happen to be one. I saw that this was a restaurant near the Opera House and we could do sandwiches or dinner plates. The service was good the waiter and the bussers. We felt like the food was just ok. My Rueben was really dry and my friends knockwierst was plain. This restaurant needs to upgrade the menu the establishment is very old and the menu not great.
Wonderful Friday night sing-along! This is what makes this place so special. Would not come here otherwise
Very colorful authentic, historical, friendly place to have a beer and some delicious comfort food. Menu has something to please everyone. The sweet potato fries are magnificent!
It was Eh. The food was pretty good, but the service wasn't super. I made a reservation through Open Table and received a message that we had the table from 6:00-7:30pm and then we would have to vacate and was told if we didn't show up, they would charge us $10 per person. This was totally unnecessary as the place wasn't busy at all. The food was brought quickly enough but there was no...
