Jackson Park Beach located across the street from the Museum of Science and Industry , is one of the headquarters for Hyde Park swimmers and sunbathers. It provides the best of nature, a vast lake and fine sand, with the best of facilities. A modern field house is complete with clean restrooms and a concession stand. Use the pedestrian bridge rather than attempting to dodge the traffic.

Jackson Park is a 500 acre park on Chicago's South Side, located at 6401 South Stony Island Avenue in the Woodlawn community area. Named for former President Andrew Jackson, this 542 acre park was the site for the 1893 World's Columbian Exposition. The park was created by Frederick Law Olmsted & Calvert Vaux, renowned designers of New York City's Central Park.

I am a big Jackson Park fan. My son played Little League baseball there and I played tennis there for years on Sunday morning. Now I practice golf at the driving range and play golf at Jackson Park Golf Course the city's only 18 hole golf course.
