On the vast, pricey and impressive menu, diners will find everything from potstickers to pizza and pasta. Dim sum, Asian noodle dishes, wok-charred fish and Mongolian Lamb Chops are among the many choices. The wine list offers vintages from...

The "intriguing" vibe is "Sex and the City–meets–South Pacific" at this "opium den–styled cavern" in Chinatown, serving a "multicultural feast" of "inventive" Eclectic fare in a "stylish yet simple way", along with a "lovely" lunchtime buffet that's "extremely popular"; get a garden table and "soak up a truly unique Hawaiian experience" – and don't overlook the "hopping cocktail scene" and...
On the edge of Chinatown, this bar resembles a joint right out of film noir. Jazz plays early in the evening on Tuesday; late-night DJs spin trance, funk, disco and rock on weekends. In addition to champagne, happy hour features sake martinis and complimentary pupu buffet. Be sure to sample the desserts, namely the chocolate volcano.
Indigo sets the right mood for an evening out on the town: the walls are redbrick, the ceilings are high, and from the restaurant's lounge next door comes the sultry sound of late-night jazz. Take a bite of goat cheese wontons with four-fruit sauce followed by rich Mongolian lamb chops. After dinner, duck into the hip Green Room lounge for a nightcap. If you're touring downtown at lunchtime,...
Behind the Hawaii Theatre, Indigo is in an historic Chinatown storefront that has been transformed by track lighting and art into one of the nicest dining rooms in town. While we like the interior, we urge you to book a courtyard seat outside if available. Prepare yourself for some interesting dining. Proprietor-chef Glenn Chu is a master of East-West synthesis, and we could make a meal out of...
Pau Hana drinks and a fabulous menu has kept this restaurant high on the list of Chinatown eateries. The ambiance is Asian exotic and Polynesian casual and the menu features the Euro Asian stylings of Hawaii celeb Chef and owner Glenn Chu. Live music and hoards of locals are the mainstay. The best lychee martini on da island! I discovered this place a couple years and have not had any lychee martini that comes close! I love their happy hour special, $4 martinis from M-F 4-8pm, and free pupus M-F at 4:30pm til it runs out. It's also a nice place for dinner and hanging out, especially on the weekends and First Fridays.
