"Where parents and children come together"

The Indaba Center provides professionally supervised visitation for parents who are not in contact with their children due to a court order or agreed order in Family Law Court. Two well appointed rooms in a therapeutic office building at 2800 E. Madison, Seattle, WA 98112, offer a comfortable and upscale setting for parents and children to spend time. Visits may also be scheduled in the community or in homes. Service areas cover King County, south Snohomish County and north Pierce County.

All visits are overseen by experienced and highly educated professionals, most of whom have a Master's Degree in social work, counseling, psychology, occupational therapy or education. The Indabacenter is open every day of the week, every day of the year.

Ms. Karin Ballantyne made an impossible reunification go very smoothly and cheerfully.

I am a single working mother and have an eight and a half year old son. I never married my son’s father, but we have a parenting plan which was established in 2003. My son’s father tried to reunify with him about four years ago. Ms. Karin Ballantyne was the court appointed reunification therapist in our parenting plan. Karin conducted a very well thought out and organized plan for my son and his father. She has made this reunification go very smoothly and cheerfully. Today, I no longer have to worry about the huge legal costs associated with the dispute. I only need to focus on my son’s schoolwork, activities, happiness and my own career. Thanks to Karin, I can finally enjoy life as a happy single mother again.

Karin Ballantyne is a outstanding therapist

Karin is a warm intelligent caring person who helped my family become a family once again. In our case, she met with us individually and in groupings to establish what was needed and followed through with a plan for us that so far has worked well. I am very impressed with the way she spoke to my child and made him feel comfortable at the sessions. During our sessions, she visited our home and showed great concern and compassion for our situation. She taught me a great deal about parenting and I thank her for sharing her extensive knowledge and kind heart to help us through a very difficult time in our lives. I highly recommend Karin Ballantyne to other couples trying to recover from a "high conflict" family situation involving children,.

At Indaba is a professional, kind, family oriented place for which they make the best out of a hard situation. Most cases are court ordered, at least one of the parties are unhappy with Indaba or the other parent is so self absorbed to care about the actual child that is being supervised. Indaba can't make …

If you are an attorney who has used Karin in the past - do not recommend her to your client. The lack of professionalism will reflect poorly on you and your practice. Removed from GAL list in Snohomish County.

Unethical, reckless, unreliable, do not let your child or any family member anywhere near these people! The fact that they have not been shut down is a disservice to the state of Washington!
