Help us make it rightIn Spain, the favorite subject is food. While we are enjoying our lunch we are planning our next meal, and before bed we plan our next meal almost savoring the next day meal. In our restaurants, Meigas and Ibiza we try to share this passion for food to our customers.
Incorporating the methods and recipes of the Spanish tradition what you get is a divine dining experience. The contemporary touches to Spanish cuisine are given by Chef Bollo, who achieves perfection with ease. A celebrity throughout Connecticut, he designed menus for all the Connecticut branches. With celebrities involved in the setting up of the restaurant, hip and plush interiors and world...
Come here for some of the region's most outstanding Spanish cuisine. Tall ceilings, multipaned windows, exposed brick, and vibrant murals create a backdrop for such extraordinary dishes as steamed lobster with sautéed shiitake and oyster mushrooms, endive foam, and fingerling potatoes, or quail cooked two ways with root vegetables and caramelized onions. A tasting menu is a great way to sample...

Ibiza's kitchen puts traditional Spanish cookery within a contemporary technical framework. While the tasting menu offered Monday through Thursday evenings serves as a fine introduction, we prefer to delve deeper into complex, full-flavored entrées like roast chicken that gets mileage from aged sherry vinegar and walnuts as well as potatoes baked with bacon, shiitakes and blue cheese, or...
This used to be Pika Tapas, but it didn't get all that much attention until the owners decided to go upmarket and chefs Bollo and Romero introduced the high-flying modern cuisine and wines of their native land. Their menu includes a few traditional dishes, among them pasteles de bacalao, potato-and-cod cakes, and espinacas a la Catalana, sautéed spinach with raisins and pine nuts. But they up...
Did the tasting menu with accompanying wines. Food was excellent, wine pairings were appropriate but not especially memorable (but hey, it's $35 for the wine pairings- not expecting world class). Atmosphere was pleasant. Waiter's English left a lot to be desired. My dinner date couldn't understand the guy at all, and I had to strain. Good place, would go back, probably not the best restaurant...
From the same experts who gave us Meson Galicia and the original Med. Grille comes this hidden gem. Incredible variety of creatively prepared and addictively tasty food. Unreal high quality. Fun and lively. Top notch and friendly service. Don't think about it, just go. It is very nice and you are going to like it very much!
This is as fine cuisine as you get in CT and frequently in NYC. Very interesting menu. Food is consistent. Con's are outweighed by the food. However, they are: Occasional inept service, lighting too dim for this quality restaurant, and very expensive wine list.
My wife and I along with another couple dined at Ibiza last night. We selected Ibiza principally because of the strong ratings it had received from Zagat.Talk about disappointment! The service was inconsistent as we were there for 30 minutes before our drink order was taken. We found the menu to be very limited and it was difficult to hear the waiter describe the daily specials as the restaurant...
Incredible food, food presentation, wine list, and service. The best Spanish food in Connecticut.
Lunch, Best Restaurants: Those who think "Spanish fare" translates as tapas will be pleasantly surprised when they stop in this cutting edge eatery, where the attitude is hip and upbeat and the stark dining room looks like it could double as an art gallery. Though small plates are available, what really draw the raves are flavorful main courses that focus on grilled sea scallops, braised lamb...
