I have been going to Hula's for years when I visit Monterey. Their fish is so fresh and they will prepare it in seven different ways. My favorite style is macadamia encrusted with mango-papaya sauce. They make killer Mai Tais or Hurricanes. The environment is lively and locals and tourists alike hang out.

A fun, Surfer/Hawaian menu that is trendy (sweet potato fires anyone?) and pretty tasty. Good value, lively atmosphere.
