Hudson's Smokehouse began in our father, Robin, and Barbara's kitchen in 1995. On Fridays and Saturdays we would wake up to the smell of collards cooking down stairs and hickory smoking as dad was in the backyard shoveling coals on the fire. This was their hobby and they loved to share their recipes with family and friends.

This restaurant is 2 miles from house and it used to be good. For us it's not an option anymore. We had our first bad experience about a year ago dining in. There were 4 of us and our food arrived at different times. Two orders were incorrect, terrible service. Brisket was a gooey, greasy sopping wet mess. Then we...

We got the all you can eat buffet and stuffed ourselves to the gills. Everything was sooooo good! Very reasonably priced and very friendly staff. We will definitely make a point to go there next time we're anywhere near the area!

I ate there several times while on business in South Carolina and never had a negative experience although I do wish they'd scrub down the tables a little more diligently before seating us. I...

The food is always consistent and great. Hudson's has catered numerous occasions for the company that employs me. I haven't heard a complaint from anyone. Their buffet is very popular and well worth the price.

Hudson's Smoke House BBQ is a staple in South Carolina. The company is famous for slow-cooked barbecue pork, chicken and seafood. This restaurant is unique because the whole menu is offered as an expansive buffet. Customers can walk the line and load their plates with meats and sides as well as desserts and salad. The spacious dining room is perfect for families and large parties and the crowd...

Here's the drill. You order up a plate of slow-smoked pulled pork, and then eat it naked, or choose one of three sauces: Western-style has a sweet tang, Gold has a bite-y mustard base, and Ultimate has a spicy, vinegar-y kick. Alternatively, you could opt for beef brisket, ribs, chicken or catfish (or a plate of all of the above). Sure, there are sides (cole slaw, squash casserole, mac and...
