Smoke smell in the Smokies

The room that my wife and I were given had a definite smell of smoke, even though it was supposed to be a smoke free room. It should be cleaned to remove the odor or it should not be given to guests. The hotel did find us another room that was better, but only after several attempts on different floors. However, the hot breakfast was good and the staff were both helpful and friendly.
