Boyfriend and I had points to use at a HIE and chose to visit WV in search of local beers and mountain biking. The HIE was conveniently located from I77, check in was a breeze, and Margaret at the desk became our smiling greeter every time we left and returned. She was helpful and friendly and always cheering us on....
The highlight of the property was Margaret at the front desk! Located in an odd location to get to, avoid the rooms at the front of the hotel at all costs - the traffic noise continues all through the night. Currently under renovation. About the only good restaurant in the area in Campestre, over by the Walmart.
as a general rule we find holiday inn express' a lovely stay. this particular one on this trip was not. the only available room was smoking, no need for this to be allowed anymore. it was disgusting, it stunk and had nicotine stains all over the bathroom. it was under renovations so we were walking on concrete in places. no...
This was our second stay at this property in the last 2 years while traveling north/south on I-77. Its location is very close to I-77 with a starbucks a block away and multiple chain eating places with in a few blocks. It is undergoing updating - but honestly, I didn't think it needed it the last time we were here....
