Hobson's Choice is not far from Williams College, but it was a hike from the vacation condo place we were staying. We were looking for a nice restaurant for a decent meal. This one popped up after reviewing the menus at the condo complex and the reviews here. We weren't disappointed, but don't expect a five-star restaurant.

We went to dinner here on a recommendation from the hotel concierge.
We made a reservation but when we got there it wasn't necessary. I guess their salad bar was popular back in the day, but it's been gone for over 2 years even though it still shows online and even on some of their menus.
Waitress was excellent, appetizers...

Great restaurant. Good and varied menu with great choices. Lovely cheerful, friendly and efficient staff. So good we went back next night.

Prime rib avail daily. Generous portions. Full bar. Clean and always courteous attentive service. Menu selections include lobster, steaks, pastas, soups and salads and daily specials. Adequate parking. Convenient location within walking distance of Williams College.

Great service and food

Even though Hobson's is a great steak house, the 4 of us each had seafood... I had amazing charbroiled scallops! Dessert was super too. They don't have their salad bar anymore, but the food is still superb!
