Help us make it rightThis used to be one of my favorite restaurants. Recently though the food has been less than mediocre and my last visit was the worst ever. The menu has changed to small plates, pizzas, sliders, ect. Not the kind of food I came there for and what Himmarshee's is known for. I was disappointed just looking at the menu but thought I'd give it a try. Man, was I in for some disappointing food. The...
First off: was surprised by the attentiveness and knowledge of the waiter. I'd been here once as a bar\club, so wasn't sure how the restaurant would be. The menu was diverse and appealing, the wine list complemented that. Pricey? Yeah, a bit. I did the Taste of Himmarshee for $35. Still not cheap, but not bad. If we're in the area again, we'll definitely come back.
This is a popular local spot, both for drinks and for dinner. The menu was painstakingly designed to stand out from the competition, the result being a distinctive and artistic selection of Cuban-inspired seafood dishes. It would seem that the efforts of Chef Peter Boulukos are well appreciated, as Himmarshee's almost always has a full house. The restaurant is semi-casual, and draws a primarily...
