We stopped here because of the yelp reviews. I tried to order eggs over medium but was told that the only eggs they have are scrambled... they weren't good. The bacon is pre- cooked reheat style...

I travel through Crystal River frequently, and was tired of the usual chain restaurants and touristy spots. I found this little gem on Citrus Ave, not far from the corner of the traffic light on 98.
A small collection of quaint shops can be found in this area, and the Highlander fits right in. They serve quiche, delicious sandwiches, deserts...

The Highlander was recommended by a man we talked with the night before at a local bar. He said it was the best place for breakfast in Crystal River and that the quiche was great.
