Sad to see another location close down. They cleared out last week after not being able to pay rent. Not sure if the Costa Mesa location closed down as well.

They still sell and rent TV shows and movies here but have cut back considerably on the number of discs available per show, so if you don't get there early, they're likely to be sold out. They also raised their prices to an annoying $1.25/DVD. I don't purchase or rent as many discs here anymore. The …

Got a bunch of kids Japanese dvd's. Anpanman, Doraemon, Totoro, you name it, they have them. I got so many Studio Ghibli classics for cheap I am so happy.

Conveniently located inside Mitsuwa Japanese market Santa Monica Store. It is a very tiny store but has a good selection of Japanese TV shows for rent. The rate is very reasonable and starts from $1/day.

High Quality Video is the first shop on your left as you enter the Mitsuwa Marketplace on Centinela, just north of Venice Blvd. Located within a larger Asian market, High Quality Video sells a range of popular movies. Big stars, lots of action, but here's the catch: most of them are dubbed in Asian languages. High Quality Video also sells a lot of Asian movies and TV shows on DVD.
