I went to pick homey daughter and before returning home we had dinner at the High Horse. I was in a mood for a burger and a beer. I had the Grass fed beef burger and a house beer. Burger was cooked as I requested, which is extra extra rare and the beer was really tasty. I did not however...

After two visits to High Horse I am sorry to say I won't return. On my first visit, I had the 'Merica. The burger patty was rock hard and dry, just like the bun. Nothing on the plate had any flavor except the mustard. On my second visit, I tried the New Mexican chili - a bowl of white rice...

The burgers at High Horse are really good and they have many kinds of different beers. It is also possible to taste 4 different kinds of beers in small amount (like a beer tasting) for around $9. Great brew pub with vegetarian options. Beers are good and made with local malt. The black beans are also local and the soup is excellent. Ask for the hop vinaigrette for your salads!
