Not the best place for a couples retreat or peace and quiet. We thought we could rest, relax and rewind by the river. Website indicates that check in is at 1 pm. High Falls is great for hiking fishing or just a picnic. Also has pavilions for the whole family. If you have never been it's worth checking out. Can never go wrong being in the outdoors.

This is a great state park. We love the trails next to the falls. The trails are clean, safe and have access to the water views. Picnics on the rocks are a wonderful weekend treat. Business description (1)

Once the site of a prosperous industrial town, this site became a ghost town in the 1880s when a major railroad bypassed it. Today, visitors of this beautiful 1,050 acre park can enjoy the scenic waterfall on the Towaliga River and hike to the remaining grist mill foundation. A campground, picnic areas, an outdoor pool, and canoe rentals are also available.
