Herbsaint Restaurant Review

Located in an understated building, Herbsaint’s casually elegant setting is as appropriate for business lunches as it is for engagement dinners. The décor sets the scene for chef Donald Link’s cuisine, which is informed by consistent freshness, admirable restraint and lots of creativity. Three dozen farms in Louisiana and Mississippi are the sources for his raw materials. Many dishes echo the...

The Kale Heatmap: Where To Eat Kale Right Now

Yesterday evening you may have noticed all of your friends on Facebook and Twitter going off about a particular New York Times article that quotes recent hipstery-type transplants saying things like "New Orleans is not cosmopolitan. There's no kale here," and "So many of the cool places here are really rundown. And not because a stylist designed them that way."

It wouldn't be so bad if these...

We made reservations at Herbsaint for Valentine's Day based on reviews and living in New Orleans. The service was very good but the food was very disappointing. We ordered several small plates as that is how their menu is construed. If you enjoy spaghetti with a fried egg, gnocchi with bacon strips, or a tiny piece of a short rib with a gourmet hash brown at approximately $ 15.00 per plate,...

Crispy goat was perfect! Our entire dinner was great. The chef driven menu covered several styles of cooking. Everything was on point. Dave room for dessert.

During one week in NOLA for a conference, I ate here 3 times, not only because it was good, but it was conveniently near my conference site. I went with friends one evening for small plates and wine and by myself, twice for lunch. The Friday lunch hour was very busy and a bit noisy inside. The food was outstanding each time. Note, wine by the glass was excellent and affordable.
