I bought a set of house plans from hearthstone. I had them do the mechanical and engineering specs as well. After framing the home and installing hvac we discovered they did not match the main floor with the basement. Consequently the flu from the basement was designed to go through the middle of the main floor. They took no responsibility or offered any help. $2k wasted with this company plus...

I paid $2000 for plans and to have the mechanical/engineering plans as well. Hearthstone didn't match the main floor with the basement. After framing this home we found this out. The flu for the water heater from the basement was lined up to go through the middle of the floor of the main level. Hearthstone was completely unsympathetic. They told me too bad I was stuck with it. Very frustrating...
