Help us make it rightCuban Influenced, Latin Inspired dishes
Havana brings authentic Cuban cuisine and music to Western North Carolina. Located in downtown Asheville, this eatery features a menu with popular favorites such as Empanadas, Crab Cakes and Tamales. The weekly menu offers specials not offered on the regular menu. There's live music every Friday night.
Good News! It's no longer necessary to drive clear to Miami for a real, authentic Cuban dinner. The Havana Restaurant is right here in Asheville and has been attracting diners who are discovering the unique flavors of Cuban cuisine.A lot of people have the misconception that Cuban food is similar to Mexican food but actually, there's very little in common. Mexico has a lot of regional dishes...
Just when I was starting to really like them. They have (or had now) a $5 two-taco lunch special which was always good. Nice, friendly staff too. In any case, the restaurant is closed now and I heard the owners bought a different establishment in town. The only Cuban-inspired restaurant that I know in the area. I hope someone re-opens...

The live, 3-man jazz band & the quality of the food combined with the friendly, low-key atmosphere make this place both relaxing & fun for everyone. My daughter loved the crab cakes & my father-in-law, who ordered the "safest" thing he...

The tacos were delicious as well, with guacamole, lettuce and salsa. Simple but yummy!...

I like their Cuban Sandwich with some black beans. This location near the Civic Center is convenient for dinner before events downtown. When we tell our server about plans for...
They have these amazing chips and salsa. We almost always get their Cuban sandwich, pork empanadas, and plantains. I like my black beans and rice soaked in the black bean sauce, and theirs was sort of dry. Some may like it that way, but I lived for 20 some odd years in southern Florida and having dined on SW 8th...
